Acceptable Use Policy
What the platform may and may not be used for - and how we act when it is misused.
Last updated 12 August 2026
This page describes how Aymex LTD operates the AymexConnect service. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable. It is a summary of our practices rather than legal advice - if you need contractual certainty for a procurement process, ask us for the signed agreement.
Why this exists
A telephony platform can be abused in ways that harm the public and put every other customer's numbers at risk of being blocked. This policy sets out where the line is. It applies to you and to everyone you invite onto your account.
Prohibited use
- Unsolicited bulk calling or messaging, including automated dialling to numbers registered with the Telephone Preference Service without a lawful basis.
- Spoofing caller identity to disguise who is calling, or presenting a number you are not authorised to use.
- Fraud of any kind, including impersonating a bank, government body, delivery service or any other organisation.
- Harassment, threats, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Distributing malware, or using the service to attack, probe or overload any system.
- Reselling connectivity or reoriginating traffic without a written agreement with us.
- Any use that breaches UK law, Ofcom rules, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, or UK GDPR.
Recording calls lawfully
Call recording is available on the platform, but the legal responsibility for using it correctly is yours. In the UK that generally means having a lawful basis, informing the people on the call, and storing recordings securely with a defined retention period.
The platform gives you the controls to do this - per-user and per-queue recording, announcements, and retention settings. Configure them to match the advice you have taken.
Security expectations
- Keep credentials confidential and use strong, unique passwords.
- Remove users promptly when they leave your organisation.
- Report suspected compromise or suspicious call patterns to us straight away.
- Do not attempt to circumvent platform limits, rate limits or access controls.
How we enforce this
Where we can, we contact you first and give you the chance to fix the problem. Where the activity is causing active harm - ongoing fraud, an attack in progress, or traffic that risks our carriers blocking legitimate customer numbers - we may suspend the affected numbers or account immediately and tell you afterwards.
To report abuse of a number hosted on our platform, email support@aymextech.co.uk with the number, the date and time, and what happened.
