Regulatory Information
Emergency calling, caller identity, number portability and complaints - the regulatory detail behind a UK phone service.
Last updated 12 August 2026
This page describes how Aymex LTD operates the AymexConnect service. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable. It is a summary of our practices rather than legal advice - if you need contractual certainty for a procurement process, ask us for the signed agreement.
Our regulatory status
Aymex LTD operates AymexConnect as a registered UK communications provider and is subject to the General Conditions of Entitlement set by Ofcom. Company number 15515557, registered in England and Wales.
Emergency calls (999 and 112)
Calls to 999 and 112 are supported from every AymexConnect account at no charge.
Because the service runs over the internet rather than a fixed line, there are limitations you must understand and pass on to your users: emergency calls will not connect during a power cut or an internet outage, and the location given to the emergency operator is the address registered against the number, not the caller's actual location at the time.
Keep your registered address accurate. If users move between sites with the app or a portable handset, make sure an alternative route to emergency services is available at each location.
Caller line identification
We present valid, dialable caller identity on outbound calls in line with Ofcom's CLI guidance. Numbers you present must be numbers you are entitled to use - either allocated by us or verified as yours.
We do not permit the presentation of caller identity intended to disguise the origin of a call.
Number portability
You can port numbers into AymexConnect from any UK provider, and out of AymexConnect to any UK provider. Porting typically takes five to ten business days and service continues throughout the transition.
We will not obstruct, delay or apply a penalty charge to a valid request to port a number away from us.
Switching and contract information
Before you commit we make plan pricing, contract length and notice period available on the pricing page and in your account. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time; annual plans run to the end of the term.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, contact support@aymextech.co.uk or call +44 151 440 2478 and we will acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it.
If we have not resolved matters to your satisfaction within eight weeks, or we reach deadlock sooner, you may be entitled to refer the complaint to an Ofcom-approved alternative dispute resolution scheme. We will tell you which scheme applies and how to contact them at the point of deadlock.
Accessibility
If a member of your team needs an accessibility adjustment - text relay, a compatible handset, or an alternative way to reach support - contact us and we will work with you to arrange it.
